Kunsthalle Rostock: Günther Uecker and Joachim Gauck
The world-renowned artist and the former German President share a long-standing friendship. On the eve of the opening of “Homage to Hafez,” the two met at Kunsthalle Rostock. After a joint tour of the exhibition, Gauck honored the artist with moving words. In a conversation with Christoph Amend, the editor-in-chief of ZEITmagazin, Günther Uecker then spoke about his life, his connection to Iran, and the current exhibition.
